About Missouri Dog Training Schools

Petropolis Training Academy is located in Chesterfield, Missouri. The Pet Grooming School began training future pet groomers in 1993, and the Missouri Dog Training School was added in 2006.

Our training instructors are the best in Missouri. Rob Schenberg, our head training instructor director, joined the academy in 2005 in order to help facilitate a superior training program based on “Learn and Apply.” Rob teaches the best dog training methods, along with communication skills and hands-on experience at all levels. Rob’s dog training career was started over 25 years ago, when he owned and opereated a private investigation and surveillance company that utilized canine services. He has taught the National Narcotic Detector Dog certification program, and is a registered canine handler with the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration.

Each four week segment at our training school provides education on how to be effective in professional dog training. Students participate at all levels of the training program to provide them with actual working experience. In addition, students will be taught the basics of marketing, kennel operations, animal health, and how to deal with a range of people – the client and pet owner, the store or kennel manager, veterinarians, support staff, sporting groups, and rescue organizations.

Petropolis Academy is certified to operate by the Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education, and is also a member of the Missouri Association of Private Career Schools.
